I am a local gal, born in Seattle and raised in Puyallup, the city of the Western Washington Fair. I still "Do the Puyallup," though miss the rodeo and horse races of the old grandstand shows. I am close to my family and am fortunate to have them living here in the Seattle/Puyallup area. I spend alot of time with them, including my mom, sister, aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Community service is another important part of my life. I enjoy serving as a Board Member of the Southeast Seattle Senior Foundation, which owns and manages the Brighton Apartments for Seniors in the Rainier Valley. I also volunteer in various ways for the Evergreen Chapter of ALSA (Lou Gerhig's Disease), working on educational symposiums and participating in fundraising events. I am a music nut, getting in my singing fix every week with my church choir. My husband and I are constantly working on our house, originally built in 1906, and we recently acquired 5 acres northwest of Port Angeles, where we plan to build a vacation home.
I have been a full time Real Estate Agent since 1979, after graduating from the University of Washington in 1976. I obtained my Broker`s license in 1988 and have never looked back. I cut my teeth as a new agent in a market with 20% interest rates. These early experiences taught me to look hard for solutions and be creative; I am rarely rattled by obstacles in Real Estate transactions. I list and sell residential homes in the South Seattle area. Building relationships is important to me. You will find my manner straightforward and authentic. Real estate transactions require intense focus, and often involve a significant investment of time and emotions. I honor the trust my clients place in me and work hard to guide them through the process in a professional manner, always protecting their best interests. I usually represent only one party in any given transaction, either the Buyer or the Seller, not both. This allows my clients to be confident that my loyalties are clear. If I think a conflict of interest exists, or that there is a person that could provide you better assistance, I quickly help you find the best representation available. My career is built on referrals and repeat business and my relationships with clients tend to survive long after the real estate transactions are completed.
"This is the 3rd transaction that we`ve worked with Dorothy on. We would highly recommend her to anyone looking to buy/sell real estate and we would urge them to listen to her advice." - Jeff and Vicki Whiting. "It was the personal contact by Dorothy Driver that impressed us. We had interviewed 2 other agencies, but Dorothy`s visit gave us the confidence in Windermere we needed to make a decision." - Jean Bridges "A Windermere agent in the northend referred us to Dorothy. She did an amazing amount of work to pull our sale and purchase together. We hope if we ever move again we`ll find Dorothy still selling real estate!" - Peter and Ann Simonson
